>>>> iATKOS S3 version 2 <<<<
md5 of iATKOS_S3_version2.iso >>> 55d3aaae14435065b53acb61e3bccae2
You can directly download the S3 version 2 iso DVD by the torrent link above. I deleted the first version from the database but if you download it from elsewhere, then do not forget to apply the PPF file posted below to S3 iso image file to make it 2nd version of the S3 DVD.
>>>> from S3 to S3 version 2 PPF iso patch file <<<<
md5 of iATKOS_S3.iso >>> c06f2dab58f128badf4382eb428f721a
md5 of S3_S3v2.ppf >>> 9f2bb3a904cafa582af6f5283e06ecfd
for patching the existing iATKOS_S3.iso: check the md5 of the S3 iso and the ppf patch. You can use "ppf-o-matic" for Windows, "ApplyPPF" terminal program for OS X to patch the iso. Check the patched iso md5. If the md5 matches the version 2 one posted above, then burn it to dvd thats all.
Change log from S3 to S3 version 2: - IOATA and RTC panic problems on some 945 and 965 motherboards solved. - 32-bit RTC package added for those problematic motherboards. - AppleIntelPIIXATA Non-AHCI SATA driver that supports 6 ports added. - Language packs updated to 10.6.3 version since they were from 10.6.0 and they caused some annoying bugs, so they are ok will be ok by the upgrades from now (except the Turkish language which is not supported by Apple). - VoodooHDA upgraded from 0.2.2 to 0.2.6.1. - Intel Pro V100 ethernet driver updated. Now it is 64/32 and working good. - Marvell 88E8038 ethernet support added. - Kext Utility updated to 2.4.2 version which works better.

Welcome all..
Attention:
1- This DVD is designed for Non-Apple x86 Intel CPU computers.
Requirements for OSX86:
Minimum: Compatible motherboard, Intel SSE2 CPU, 512MB RAM, 15GB free space on target partition, compatible VGA card.
Recommended: Intel Core CPU, 1GB RAM, 15GB free space on target partition, Snow Leo compatible nVidia 6600 or newer / ATI X1300 or newer / Intel GMA 950 or X3100 VGA card.
Motherboard (the most important part) should be compatible for booting iATKOS S3 DVD and installing natively.
2- This DVD includes Apple's Mac OS X Leopard 10.6.3 (10D573) installation, some basic drivers and x86 patches.
3- IMPORTANT NOTICE - Make sure that the md5 checksum of your iATKOS iso image matches the one posted on our website. Do this MD5 check just before mounting or doing anything with the iso image! Otherwise you may have a faulty DVD image. Use quality media/burner and burn slowly.
4- MAKE SURE YOU TAKE NOTE OF YOUR Hardware IDs, Device IDs and device names before installing this system. This is very important. If you aren't sure what devices/hardware you own nor its IDs, then 3 options: -Boot iATKOS S3 DVD, run "Hardware Info" from Utilities menu and take notes. -Fire up a Linux Live CD (ie. Ubuntu Live CD), type "lspci -nn" in terminal and take notes. -Windowsers, get Everest Ultimate Edition and take note of your hardware.
5- Do a google search or surf to InsanelyMac, Hackint0sh, our forum, related OSX86 sites or wiki to find out if your hardware is supported or not. OSX86 does not support a wide range of hardwares like Linux and Windows. Make sure that it is supported before you install. This is very important because after installation you may ask like "how can I get this hardware to work" and people would simply slap you with "it will never work". This little search will avoid your frustration and anger! Extending your lifespan!
6- If something goes wrong, please don't panic, Scroll down for the Troubleshooting guide. If that fails, take a screenshot (or a picture) of what went wrong and post it in the forums. Make sure you have done the 3 Revival steps and troubleshooting steps before posting in the forum!
7- Do not forget one thing: IF THE INSTALL ENDS WITH SUCCESS, THEN MOST LIKELY IT CAN RUN ON YOUR HARDWARE. This means if you have a major booting error after installation like kernel panic, "still waiting for root device" error, hang on grey apple screen etc. then this is mostly related to your faulty selections during install, read the instructions carefully and do a very basic install until you boot your new system with success.

>>>> iATKOS S3 download <<<<
md5 of iATKOS_S3.zip >>> md5 of iATKOS_S3.iso >>> c06f2dab58f128badf4382eb428f721a
This download includes iATKOS_S3.zip file. After extracting the zip package you will have 2 files which is the iATKOS S3 ISO DVD image and the info.txt file. Burn the ISO image to a blank DVD (±R ,±RW) and then you are ready to boot iATKOS S3 DVD.
Windowsers can easily extract zip package and burn iso to dvd using Windows' built-in system tools (double click to zip file, extract the iso, right click to iso and select burn) but of course 3rd party tools can also be used for these actions. ie. winrar for extracting the zip, nero for burning the iso etc.
Mac users, you can extract the zip package and burn the iso to dvd using built-in system tools. Just double click to zip and burn it using Disk Utility. We advice to use built-in extractor by just double clicking on zip, 3rd party tools for extraction may change the file permissions after extraction, if so right click and lock the iso file by file info to preserve md5 before mounting it.
Linux users: ie. Ark, unzip etc. to extract iso, then k3b, cdrecord etc. to burn it..
cheers

The Gigabyte Mac Edition BIOS Project, No more DSDT.aml No more kernel panics, no more need for some kexts. |
I'm proud to announce here the result of my last 2 months of work on this project.
This project consists on a hacked gigabyte bios file (based on the latest F9f beta bios for the EP43-DS3L board and the latest F9 bios for the EP45-UD3L) wich you can flash to your motherboard (ONLY) trough Clean Q-Flash (without entering Bios Setup before Q-Flash), and, once booted, have a normal functional computer for any ACPI OS (such as Windows Linux and Mac), and the possibility to boot under Mac OS X with enhanced features normally achieved trough the use of a DSDT.aml file.
The Final idea is having a bios that boots OSX without the need of any DSDT.aml stored on your disk (we will still need a bootloader for EFI/GPT for now but i pretend to implement that into bios in future releases).
I decided to release my latest stable version at once. It includes these (and other) capabilities to OS-X booted WITHOUT DSDT.aml:
With this Bios you will no longer need a DSDT.aml and will no longer need kexts like OpenHaltRestart, SleepEnabler, PMDisabler, HDAEnabler (Legacyhda still needed), SMBUSEnabler.
Between the features of this BIOS is:
- No need for DSDT.aml
- Mac Display image instead of gigabyte's one
- Bios Setup sounds in sound boxes(not loud)
- Native PowerManagement correctly loaded
- Shutdown Fix (still long shutdown time, arround 10 to 20 seconds but no need for kexts)
- CMOS-reset bug fix for Snow Leo
- USB 1.1 and 2.0 seen as internal with sleep capability
- Native SMBus loading
- Full Sleep and Wake capability.
- Full AHCI hotplug capability
- HDEF Audio (eliminates HDAEnabler)
This Bios features multiple fixes for Mac OS X, while combining them with complete compatibility with any other ACPI compliant modern Operational System. This means it has been tested with Mac Os X, Linux 2.6 (Ubuntu 9.10), Windows Vista & Windows 7
Under these Mac Os X fixes we can ressalt the correct loading of the LPC/SMBUS, the complete support for Sleep and Shutdown, the no longer reset of Bios Settings the full compilance of the ACPI tables with MS-ASL and i-ASL compilers, the pin configurations of audio driver, the correct handling of Sata channels, complete loading of power management without panics, among many other optimizations of the original ACPI code.
Included in the download is a full illustrated Manual in PDF with all the instructions of how to install, configure and troubleshoot the bios and the OS after installing it, and further informations on the project.
DISCLAIMER: Flashing your bios is a risky operation. Follow the procedures included on your downloaded zip file to use your system without risk. If anything goes wrong, this motherboard has 2 bioses and one can be recovered from the other chip. EVEN THEN THERE COULD BE ERRORS. By using these files you take responsability for any damage they could cause to anything. All files provided until v0.7h have been sucessfully tested under both Linux (Ubuntu 9.10), Windows 7 and Mac OS 10.6.2. For complete sleep capability, 10.6.2 maybe needed.
